Music has always been the language that I learn from.  I love all kinds of music,  except jazz:)  Piano is my first instrument, I've been playing since I was seven and I'm a lot older now!  I also have played the trumpet, violin and most recently the cello.  I'm a visual learner and I have kids that are auditory and kinesthetic learners.  I get that we have to be presented with information in the language that we understand, in order for it to become part of us.  A piano teacher's role is that of a mentor, to help instill that love of music in the language that her students' hear it.
